The amendments are mineral substances for soil improvement. They are mainly used in agriculture, to maintain or change the pH of cultivated soils and create a magnesium intake.

 

In addition to quicklime, we offer 3 other amendments NF U 44001 for recalcification your farm plots.

 

Lime carbonate

Lime carbonate allows maintaining the pH land when it is between 6.5 and 7. It is a basic inorganic amendment often used on clay soil. Its action promotes the exchange of elements necessary for plant nutrition. It also improves the absorption of fertilizer and soil microbial life.

 

Specifications

Composition : 50% CaO (lime sand 0/2 0/4 mm ground and dried by the addition of 5% ground quicklime)

Speed and size : Amendment raw and dry 0 and 2 mm moderately fast acting

Neutralizing value : 50 - Density : 1,3 t./m3 - Recommended dosage : 2 t./hectare

 

Magnesium carbonate

The magnesium carbonate is used to correct magnesium deficiency of land and maintaining the pH when it is between 6.5 and 7. Lime carbonate mixture and dolomite (sedimentary rock of marine origin), it helps to enrich the soil with magnesium and calcium. These characteristics also help to fight against the formation of moss.

Composition : 40% CaO - 10% MgO. 50% lime carbonate mixture 50% dry powder dolomite = (50%CaO + (30%CaO + 20%MgO))/2

Speed and size : Cooked amendment and dry 0-1 mm moderately fast acting

Neutralizing value : 54 - Density : 1,3 t./m3 - Recommended dosage : 2 t./hectare


Mixed liming

Mixed calcium amendment allows both to raise the pH when it is less than 6.5, but also enhance the rate of magnesium land. Adapted to acid soils, it combines some of the benefits of lime carbonate and magnesium carbonate. Only on request.
